Planting of 500 New Trees at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Through a donation from TERNA S.A., the Municipality of Thessaloniki planted 500 new trees across the campus of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, strengthening the city's urban green infrastructure and enhancing the environmental quality of the university grounds. The project included the planting of a variety of tree species, such as wild cherry, ornamental plum, hackberry, and cedar trees, contributing to biodiversity, improving the local microclimate, and enriching the campus landscape. This initiative forms part of the Municipality's broader strategy to expand urban greenery and create a more sustainable and climate-resilient city.
