Complete Renovation of Thessaloniki’s 64th Kindergarten
Thessaloniki’s 64th Kindergarten, located at 125 Agiou Dimitriou Street, was fully renovated and reopened as a modern, safe, functional and accessible school, thanks to a donation by Eliza Alexandridou, Emerita Professor at the School of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The donation funded a comprehensive programme of improvements to both the interior and outdoor areas, including redesigned classrooms, modern sanitary facilities, an accessibility ramp, and the complete redevelopment of the schoolyard. New areas for play and creative activities were created outdoors, together with seating, a pergola, new lawn areas and planting. The project brought a school building that had remained closed for years back into use, providing an upgraded learning environment for children in the neighborhood.
School Crosswalk Markings
The Municipality of Thessaloniki and Hellas Direct are upgrading school crosswalks as part of the "Safe Roads" project. By April 26, interventions were carried out at 17 locations across the city.
We invite you, through the “I Participate in My City” program, to support initiatives that improve daily life and make Thessaloniki more sustainable, friendly, functional, and resilient.
