1,500 New Trees on Thessaloniki’s Waterfront
As part of a major environmental intervention, the Municipality of Thessaloniki has begun planting trees along the lower section of the city's waterfront, from the Garden of Alexander the Great to the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. A total of 1,500 new trees will be planted, thanks to the generous support of EYATH. These new trees —of diverse species and considerable size— are set to significantly enhance the aesthetic and environmental quality of the waterfront, transforming its landscape as early as this spring and offering shade, greenery, and improved urban resilience.
